Main fields of research and expertise

Olivier EVRARD obtained a PhD in Geoscience (2008) at the University of Louvain, Belgium. After a short stay at the Belgian Federal Ministry of Environment, he was recruited as a junior researcher by the French Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) at the Laboratoire des Sciences du Climat et de l’Environnement (LSCE) in Paris-Saclay (France). His main research interests are related to the tracing of sediment and contaminant sources and dynamics in contrasted river systems using a suite of well-established and novel discriminant properties (fallout radionuclides, colour, elemental and isotopic geochemistry, environmental DNA, etc.) He has been involved in Fukushima post-accidental research in Fukushima since 2011 (https://mitatelab.cnrs.fr/).
