Main fields of research and expertise
Yves Auda is a scientific engineer in the field of data analysis for plant ecology, environmental health and archaeology. His phD concerns multivariate statistical visualisation. From 1987 to 1999, he analysed archeological data at the “Maison de l’Orient”, Lyon, France. From 2000 to 2009, he was a scientific facilitator of the “Réseau Télédétection de l’Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie”. Since 2010, he has focused his research on spatial analysis using GIS with a main field of study, Laos. He has published over 50 scientific articles and a book, “Systèmes d’Information Géographique, Dunod ed”. He has supervised 2 PhDs. He teaches GIS and statistics in Master 2 “Signal and image processing” and in bachelor degree “Maîtrise Qualité Mesure” of the University of Toulouse.
